STEPS TO ENTER

1. REGISTER YOUR INTENT TO ENTER FORM

Both students and professors must complete the Intent to Enter Form

2. REVIEW & SIGN THE NON-DISCLOSURE AGREEMENT (NDA)

To protect the confidentiality of the client brief, all participants – students and professors - must provide Effie Collegiate with a signed NDA. Once a valid NDA is received and the Intent to Enter Form is completed, a password-protected PDF with the Client Brief will be shared via email.

3. DOWNLOAD & REVIEW ENTRY MATERIALS

The Client Brief will provide full details on the challenge, including brand guidelines and creative examples. Entry requirements are outlined on the next page. Work with your team to conduct research, create your campaign, and determine the potential outcomes of your work. 
You should begin working on your entry using the Entry Form Template, which will allow for easy collaboration among your team. Review the Effective Entry Guide for tips on submitting a strong entry.

4. SUBMIT YOUR WORK IN THE ENTRY PORTAL

Your responses to the entry form, the creative examples, and your research will be uploaded to the Entry Portal. Please begin working in the portal in advance of the Entry Deadline to ensure you have time to complete all requirements.

WHO CAN ENTER

The competition is open to those enrolled in full/part-time at an accredited U.S. college/university or educational institution. This includes undergraduate/graduate students and those enrolled in portfolio and online programs. International students who have a valid visa are also eligible to participate.

TEAM COMPOSITION

Entries may be submitted by a teams of two to four individuals. Team members are not required to attend the same school. All concepts must be the work of the students, but participants are encouraged to seek the advice and guidance of professors/instructors/faculty advisors.

PROFESSORS

Professors can play a key role in supporting their students in the Effie Collegiate competition. Additionally, Effie Worldwide aims to be a resource for professors - both via the Effie Curriculum and the Case Database.

CURRICULUM

The Effie Collegiate Curriculum guides professors through a selection of Effie-winning cases to introduce the Effie framework for Marketing Effectiveness and illustrates how students can apply these concepts to their projects. For access, submit the Intent to Enter Form. All participating professors will have complimentary access to the Effie Collegiate Curriculum.

RESTRICTIONS

All entrants must be at least 18 years of age, legal residents of the United States, and cannot be an employee or immediate family member living in the same household as an employee of (1) the sponsor brand, (2) Effie Worldwide, Inc., (3) any brand/company that is a direct competitor to the sponsor, its brand(s) or subsidiaries, (4) the sponsor's marketing/advertising and/or promotion agencies, or (5) marketing/advertising or promotion agencies that represent the sponsor's direct competitors. Excluding internships, students may not be active employees of client, agency, or media companies. The competition is void where prohibited and subject to all applicable federal, state, and local laws, rules, and regulations as well as the official competition rules, regulations, and procedures.
